Can solar shades stop furniture from fading?

Ultraviolet rays break down the chemical bonds inside dyes, causing textiles to break and fade over time. Solar shades can certainly protect furniture from fading, as they block out and filter UV rays.

Can I mount solar shades on the ceiling?

Yes, solar shades can be mounted on the ceiling. The installation brackets solar shades usually come with can be installed in a range of areas, including both walls and ceilings. You might need additional hardware like masonry screws or anchors based on your specific layout.

How can I stop solar shades from blowing?

Solar shades that hang over doors or windows can flap around when they aren’t secured in place. This is easily remedied through the installation of hold down brackets at the bottom of your window or door. These brackets usually hook or latch into the lower rail of a shade to anchor it in place.

Can I install solar shades on my doors?

Yes, solar shades are a fantastic choice for glass or french doors. Utilize a hold down bracket at the bottom of the shade to stop it from swinging as you open or close the door.

Can I install solar shades outside?

Yes, there’s special exterior solar shades that you can purchase that are specifically designed to be resistant to the elements.
